The Urban Ministry Center (UMC) Art Works FC is run in conjunction with Art Works 945, an arts, culture, and outreach program of the UMC. The UMC is a private, interfaith, non-profit organization with 10 year experience providing love and tangible aid to the homeless of Charlotte, NC. Visit the UMC Website to learn more. Big News Magazine is a street paper put out by New York City's Grand Central Neighborhood's Social Services (GCNS). The representatives to the first two Homeless World Cups (HWC) came from the Big News Magazine in New York. Charlotte Soccer Club has outfitted the team in socks and shorts and plans to send coaching help in preparation for the World Cup. The leadership at Charlotte Soccer Club has show great vision and community concern in deciding to establish a long term relationship with homeless soccer in Charlotte. Link to them here. Covenant Presbyterian Church of Charlotte provides indoor practice facilities, lockers, and showers to the team twice a week through their Recreation and Outreach divine.
